"This is an opponent you usually face in the Champions League," added Roman Weidenfeller.
Still, the Spanish side have a lot of question marks to address at the SIGNAL IDUNA PARK on Thursday night (KO, 1900 CET). Key defender Cáceres and superstar Jesus Navas are doubtful, and there could also be changes to the system and the team following the coaching change.
Klopp said he believes that Sevilla will start with two strikers, but also set out with a defensive formation. "We were lucky to watch a game of their new coach at the end of our Mallorca trip last season," said Klopp. But, of course, he will only find out if his assumptions are correct or not just before kick-off. "And Roman Weidenfeller, who will make his 15th European appearance on Thursday night, confirmed: "We are highly motivated, want to give Sevilla a fight and want to continue our successful run in the Europa League as well."
And for this they will work their legs off. "It´s going to be a close match," assumed Klopp. But his team will have the fans in the stadium behind them...
